HVAC Service Technician - Residential | Sign-On Bonus Available
$85,000 - $100,000 annually (hourly plus commission)
Monday to Friday schedule | 7:30am start | Overtime available
Location: Belleview, FL or Clermont/Groveland, FL positions available
Sunshine Air Conditioning is hiring an experienced HVAC Service Technician to perform diagnostics, service, and repairs on residential heating and cooling systems. This role focuses on delivering high-quality work while providing "best in class" customer experience in the field. Qualified candidates will have a proven track record of attendance, hard work, initiative, ambition, compassion, and empathy.
We currently have openings for full-time Service Technicians at both our Belleview and Clermont/Groveland locations. Please indicate your preferred location in your application.
Pay Rate: Total annual earnings range from $85,000 - 100,000 based on experience and efficiency; the pay is hourly plus commission (overtime available)
Job Schedule: Typical schedule is M-F, starting at 7:30am (some nights and weekends will be scheduled as we offer afterhours emergency service).
Job Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly inspect and diagnose a wide variety of HVAC malfunctions. Complete the repairs necessary having clearly communicated with customers.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with customers and the Sunshine team.
- Maintain detailed notes of all interactions in customers' records.
- Maintain inventory/supplies on your assigned company vehicle.
- Maintain necessary tools
- Must practice safety at all times
Required Qualifications:
- Universal EPA Certification or Type II Certification
- Completion of HVAC technical school, preferred
- Strong electrical and refrigeration knowledge
- A valid driver's license and an insurable driving record
- Knowledge of local codes and ordinances
- Willing to work in various weather conditions, extreme temperatures and comfortable using ladders up to 12'
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and customer service skills
- Own basic tools with ability to operate power and hand tools safely
- Willingness to obtain Nate certification
