Job Description

Garber Heating and Air Conditioning has been providing heating and cooling services to the Morton and surrounding area since 1972. Ralph Garber started Garber Heating & Air Conditioning in March of 1972. In 1973 he began selling the Carrier® brand as Garber's official home comfort product. Over 50 years later we still stand behind the same value Ralph saw in Carrier® brands and HVAC equipment: quality designs, greater efficiency, and leading-edge technology. Garber Heating & Air Conditioning is proud to be a part of the Morton community for over 50 years, servicing and installing home comfort system in the surrounding Tazewell, Peoria, and Bloomington areas.

Primary Job Function: To install residential heating and air conditioning systems to company standards providing the customer with a high quality experience while meeting established deadlines and maintaining proper margins.

Work Hours: 7:00 am with an hour lunch and overtime as needed.

Job Title: Service Technician - ExperiencedPay Scale: $29 - $40 per hour - plus Benefits listed belowPrimary Job Function: To perform maintenance/service on residential heating and air conditioning systems according to company standards resulting in high quality customer experience.Reports to: Service Manager

Required Qualifications:• High school diploma or its equivalent• Valid driver's license• Insurable driving record• Basic customer service skills.

Qualifications desired:• Universal EPA Certification• Certificate of completion from a HVAC technical school • Nate certification• 3+ years of experience• Possess tools needed• Basic Understanding of wiring diagrams• Basic Understanding of sheet metal• Basic Understanding of refrigeration
