HVAC Tech

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to troubleshoot, repair and maintain HVAC systems and compressed air system equipment
• Perform annual maintenance on chillers and air handlers including the following:
  • Record unit running hours, condenser and evaporator pressures
  • Record compressor oil level
  • Replace oil and oil filters
  • Condenser tube brushing
  • Replace system filters
• Perform preventative maintenance on compressed air systems including the following:
  • Schedule and change machine oils and filter
  • Overhaul internal and external components as required
  • Replace defective / worn out parts as needed
  • Lubricate required items as scheduled
  • Perform complete preventive maintenance

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Solid understanding of chilled water systems
• Knowledge of air compressors and systems
• Ability to read and understand machine maintenance manuals, operation manuals, and associated machine documentation. Paperback and digital
• Ability to coordinate with suppliers, parts departments, and contractors  
• Operation of fork lifts, scissor lifts, boom lift, and working at elevated heights
• Knowledge of, and ability to comply with OSHA Safety and company rules

Education and Experience:

• Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of a technical apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of qualified maintenance experience
• EPA 608 Certification
