YOUR DAY AS OUR HVAC TECHNICIAN

When you join our electric company as an HVAC Technician, you can expect to engage in a variety of tasks essential for maintaining comfort and efficiency in heating and cooling systems. You install new systems such as furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, thermostats, and ventilation equipment. In addition to installation, you perform seasonal tune-ups, filter changes, and preventative maintenance to ensure system efficiency and longevity. Diagnosing and repairing HVAC issues is also a critical part of your role; you troubleshoot problems, identify root causes, and carry out timely repairs. You communicate clearly with homeowners and business owners about system performance, repair options, and maintenance recommendations. Moreover, you adhere to safety procedures, building codes, and company standards while maintaining accurate service records. As part of the team, you may also provide after-hours emergency service on a rotating on-call schedule as needed.

REQUIREMENTS FOR OUR HVAC TECHNICIAN

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade/technical training a plus
• EPA Certification (Type I & II or Universal) preferred
• 2+ years HVAC service experience; apprenticeship considered
• Solid knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and diagnostics
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoors
• Strong troubleshooting and technical skills
• Professional appearance and clear communication
• Customer-focused, positive, and team-oriented
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
