HVAC / Refrigeration Technician
Location: Massachusetts (Regional Territory)
Position Type: Full-Time, Field Service
The Opportunity
Are you a skilled technician who enjoys the fast pace of the service industry but wants the stability of a world-class brand? We are looking for an experienced HVAC/R Technician to maintain and repair critical systems for our locations across Massachusetts.
In this role, you aren't just a "fix-it" person; you are the guardian of our food safety and guest comfort. From industrial walk-in freezers to complex rooftop units, you'll ensure our operations never miss a beat.
The Role
You will be responsible for the preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration equipment across multiple sites within a designated region.
Key Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Perform routine PMs and emergency repairs on HVAC rooftop units (RTUs), exhaust fans, and makeup air units.
- Refrigeration Expertise: Maintain and repair walk-in coolers, freezers, reach-ins, and specialized ice machines to ensure strict food safety temperatures.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in motors, compressors, and control circuits.
- Efficiency: Monitor energy usage and system performance to suggest upgrades or optimizations.
- Compliance: Maintain accurate service logs and manage inventory for common repair components.
What You Bring to the Team
- Certification: EPA Universal Certification is required.
- Experience: 3-5 years of commercial HVAC and refrigeration experience (QSR or commercial kitchen experience is a major plus).
- Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, refrigeration cycles, and control systems.
- Licensing: A valid Massachusetts driver's license and a clean driving record. (MA Journeyman or Master Pipefitter/HVAC license preferred).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to climb ladders, work on rooftops in various weather conditions, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $70,000 – $75,000 per year.
