Job Description
Local Heating & Air Conditioning Company / HVAC Technician
Pay: $$18+ Depending on Experience
Hours: Monday - Friday 8-5 (When working overtime Monday-Thursday 10-hour shift & Friday 8-hour shift)
Job Duties:
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, ductwork, and refrigeration systems
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate testing equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and energy efficiency
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal codes and safety regulations
- Handle refrigerants responsibly in compliance with EPA standards
- Provide excellent customer service and explain system issues and solutions clearly to clients
- Accurately complete service reports, work orders, and maintenance logs
- Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle in safe working condition
Job Requirements:
- HVAC/R Certification from an accredited technical school or apprenticeship program
- State HVAC License
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, controls, refrigeration cycles, and airflow principles
- Ability to use diagnostic tools, gauges, meters, and hand/power tools
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and climb ladders
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
