Job Description

Seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician experienced with commercial facilities for a direct hire opportunity with our client, a top-tier mechanical construction and service provider, in Henrico, VAOverview: Will be working with boilers, chillers, vacuum pumps, VRF systems, larger package systems, commercial and industrial properties, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining.Payrate: $70-$90 k annually (based on experience)Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am to 5 pmBenefits:

Responsibilities for Commercial HVAC Technician:

Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Diagnose complex issues with large-scale HVAC systems, including chillers, air handlers, and rooftop units. This includes analyzing electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
Preventative Maintenance: Perform detailed preventative maintenance on a variety of HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
Installation and Repair: Install new equipment and perform complex repairs or overhauls on existing systems, ensuring they are up to code and specifications.
System Optimization: Modify or upgrade systems to improve efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and meet new performance standards.
Refrigerant Handling: Safely handle, charge, and recover refrigerants according to all federal and state regulations.
Documentation: Maintain detailed service records, write reports, and manage inventory for parts and supplies.
Customer Service: Communicate effectively with clients to explain technical issues and recommend solutions

Qualifications for Commercial HVAC Technician:

Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years of experience in Commercial HVAC service; or equivalent combination of education (Technical School) and experience.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment up to 100 tons.
Must have proficiency with operating and working handheld computers (i.e. Smartphone, iPad).
EPA Section 608 certification to handle refrigerants
Clean MVR
Ability to pass a criminal Background check and pre employment drug test
Will need your own hand tools, meters, etc
Will require rotation of "on-Call" every 6 weeks. There will be bonus pay for this
