How will you do it

We are looking for skilled HVAC Technicians who have experience with air cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, Industrial chillers,AHU’sor large roof top ducted unitsPreferred experience in Industrial Petro-Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or Data Center vertical environmentsWe provide factory certification through our Service Technical Academy (STA) with recognition, monetary rewards, and advancement.We offer incentive programs for turning in referral leads and quoting planned service agreements or L&M up to 6% payout of the sale value and a #1 focus on employee safety. We also provide tools, uniforms, and a company vehicle to perform your job and service our customers to the highest standard. 

Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve facility inefficiencies and resolve service-related items. As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of commissioning and aftermarket service. Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities. Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

What we look for

  • Be a dedicated member of a North America Branch team willing to learn andbe responsible forstartup, commissioning, and aftermarket services for this fast-growing business.

  • Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO

  • Minimum of Twelve (12) years of practical working experience on air cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, industrial chillers,AHU’sor large roof top ducted units with strong HVAC/ mechanical troubleshooting experience.  Lead large complex repairs,jobsor retrofits.

  • Recognized as a Leader by peers while being a coach and mentor within the branch. Escalationpointson technical issues and provides on-the-job training for other Mechanics.

  • Escalationpointsfrom the branch to the Product Technical Support PTS teams for critical issues. Viewed as an expert inafield by both employees and customers.

  • Assistsmanagement with assuring proper field operational disciplines of other Technicians are followed.  

  • Regularly provides input on development and training needs of the branch. 

  • Provides consultant level services for customers related to buildingsystemand orproduct repairs and enhancements.  

  • Ensuresultimatecustomer satisfaction levels with assigned customers.  

  • Conducts self-study (reading, research and practice) to improve and maintain technical proficiency. Completes all training and certifications as required by the company.

  • Communicates with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction Meets regularly with customer to become familiar with operating problems. Keeps customer informed on the nature of service provided outstanding issues and recommends system enhancements, upgrades, and or repairs.  

  • Manages assigned work to meet a professional level of execution, on-time and to the customer satisfaction.

  • Able to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, absorption chillers, screw chillers and/or ammonia / hydrocarbon system components.

  • Maintain ammonia and hydrocarbon safety training certification.

  • Extensive experience in HVAC systems, (Chilled water loops, Pumping, Compressor enthalpy, Compressor trouble shooting and rebuild.

  • Mechanical shaft alignment using dial indicators, lasers, etc. of pumps, fans, Compressors.

  • Able to use vibration equipment to trouble shoot compressor drivelines.

  • Proficient in the operations, trouble shooting and repair of large tonnage chiller 460 vac VSD’s and medium voltage 4160 vac VSD’s.

  • Proficient in multiple OEM chiller panels and controllers.

  • Able to trouble shoot industrial Allen Bradley control systems and adjust.

  • Travelmaybe required10% to 20% to support Branch Customers startup and commissioning activities as well as aftermarket service trouble shooting.

  • You will be required to pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies.

  • You will work with other local market mechanics and when necessary,provide onthe job training and or willparticipateand be a leader in local relevant classroom training for other Technicians.

  • Attention to detail through interpersonal, digital, and written skills.  Able to write and communicate to the customer problem, cause, and corrective actions.  

  • Able to provide quotes to customers andparticipatein JCI’s Service Plus Rewards program.

  • Self-starter with a passion/ desire to learn and applyonthe job.  

  • Prioritize safety in allforms.

  • Universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, and valid driver's license.

What we look for Inaddition to thetechnicalrequirements of the given field, Technical Team Leads needexperiencewhere strong leadership activities have beendemonstrated. Ability to act independently andto coordinatethe work of other employees and contractors on a customer site. Effective interpersonal skills torepresentthe company to customers and other outside contacts. Able to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.  

*This is a Bargaining Unit Position. Pay Range: {$41.45} hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
