Job DetailsJob Details:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Payroll Manager to join our team. This is a hybrid role that will oversee all payroll-related activities for our company in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll management, accounting, and a high attention to detail. This role will be responsible for managing the payroll of approximately 400 employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality at all times. Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the preparation, distribution, and reporting processes for weekly payroll.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
• Coordinate with HR to ensure correct employee data.
• Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll production.
• Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
• Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
• Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a payroll management role, preferably within the construction industry.
• Proven experience with UKG and salary payroll.
• Experience managing a payroll of around 400 employees (including union and salary payroll)
• Proficient with automated payroll systems and a strong working knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to function effectively as part of a team.
• Strong knowledge of the construction industry and its unique payroll considerations is a plus.
