Job Description

Hydraulic Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating, designing, developing, and assisting, in providing technical direction to the scope of projects

  • Performing stormwater management system and pond design

  • Extracting data and information from a variety of drafting tools including MicroStation

  • Responsible for planning and designing, hydrologic and hydraulic improvements for roadway, and drainage projects

  • Performing hydrology/hydraulic analysis for the design and construction of transportation projects

  • Providing fieldwork assistance to verify existing site conditions

  • Roadway drainage design

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline

  • PE Preferred

  • 5+ years of transportation hydraulic design experience, with a focus on NC DOT preferred

  • HEC-RAS experience required

  • Proficiency in MicroStation, GEOPAK Drainage, and HEC-RAS
