Job: ICCM-Irrigation Crew Member - Construction (Irrigation)
We are looking for someone who truly enjoys irrigation management and the green industry. As an Irrigation Crew Member, you will support irrigation installation and construction projects within our landscaping construction division. This role assists in building, installing, and testing irrigation systems for new landscapes, renovations, and large-scale projects. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on outdoor work, follows direction well, and takes pride in contributing to high-quality construction projects.
Responsibilities:
Assist with installation of irrigation systems including trenching, pipe installation, valves, heads, wiring, and controllersPerform physical labor such as digging, trenching, backfilling, and material handlingSupport layout of irrigation lines according to plans and job specificationsAssist with connecting and testing irrigation zones for proper coverage and operationLoad, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials to job sitesPerform jobsite cleanup and restoration after installation activitiesSafely operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment under supervisionFollow all safety procedures, jobsite rules, and company policiesWork collaboratively with crew leaders, foremen, and other construction team membersReport issues or discrepancies in plans, materials, or site conditions to leadershipPerforming preventative and diagnostic system checks on an ongoing basisReporting system check findings to the operations leadership teamUnderstanding client needs while meeting or exceeding expectationsTroubleshooting and resolving irrigation issues in a timely and efficient mannerSafely operating and maintaining irrigation equipment and all other company propertyCommunicating escalations to the Account Manager and/or Irrigation ManagerMaintaining a positive and collaborative attitude with internal and external clients
Performing other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditionsWillingness to learn irrigation installation techniques and follow instructionsStrong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skillsAbility to lift heavy materials and perform repetitive physical tasksDependable attendance and punctualityAbility to work flexible hours, including early mornings or extended shifts as project demands requireReliable transportation
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in irrigation installation, landscaping, or outdoor constructionFamiliarity with PVC pipe cutting, gluing, and basic irrigation componentsBasic understanding of irrigation layouts or construction drawingsExperience with trenchers or other light construction equipmentBilingual (English/Spanish) communication skillsAttention to detail and pride in quality workmanshipInterest in advancing into irrigation technician, crew leader, or foreman roles2 Wire troubleshooting is highly desirableValid Florida Driver's License and the ability to pass an MVR check
