Job Title: ID/OD Machinist• Location: Park City, UT• Duration: Full Time• Job Type: Onsite• Work Type: Full Time
Job Summary:
- The ID/OD Machinist at Client Gear Systems is responsible for the operation and basic maintenance of CNC ID/OD grinders in the ID/OD Grind Department.
- The ID/OD Machinist must be able to produce high-quality products according to Client Gear Systems ID/OD Grind department work instruction.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC and Manual OD and ID grind equipment with minimal supervision.
- Grinding of splined shafts and aircraft gears holding tolerances of .0001"-.0005."
- Basic Maintenance of CNC Grinders.
- Use precision measurement equipment.
- Maintain proper documentation of SPC data.
- Consistently produce quality parts.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3-5 years' experience.
- Blueprint reading skills.
- Shop math skills.
- Proficiency in the use of a wide variety of precision measuring tools.
Physical Requirements:
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to use hand tools.
