Position Overview
The ILS / Configuration Management Specialist provides integrated logistics and configuration management support for the OPC program, ensuring that system configurations are accurately documented, controlled, and maintained throughout the asset lifecycle.
This role supports outfitting activities, configuration tracking, and audit processes, including Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs). Operating within a shipbuilding environment, the specialist coordinates with program personnel, shipbuilders, and logistics teams to ensure alignment between system design, installation, and documentation.
The position plays a critical role in ensuring readiness and compliance, supporting successful cutter delivery by maintaining configuration integrity and supporting lifecycle logistics processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Track outfitting requirements and configuration changes
- Support Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs)
- Maintain configuration documentation and records
- Coordinate with shipbuilder and logistics teams
- Support shipboard outfitting and readiness activities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, or related field
- 4+ years of configuration management or ILS experience
- Knowledge of configuration control processes
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
Preferred Qualifications
- Shipbuilding or maritime experience
- Lifecycle logistics knowledge
- Audit and compliance experience
