As an Independent Living Skills Trainer (ILST) with Project Genesis, Inc., you'll work one-on-one with adults living with acquired brain injuries, empowering them to regain essential life skills and achieve greater independence in their homes and communities.

What You'll Do:
As an Independent Living Skills Trainer, you'll coach and support individuals as they build the practical skills needed to live independently.
Your responsibilities may include:
  • Teaching daily living skills such as meal planning, cooking, household organization, and personal routines.
  • Assisting with budgeting, money management, and community resources.
  • Supporting communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Encouraging participation in community activities and social engagement.
  • Providing supervision and non-medical support based on individualized service plans.
  • Documenting progress and collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Celebrating every milestone as individuals achieve greater confidence and independence.

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance.
  • Experience supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries:
    • Minimum of 2 years with a high school diploma or equivalent, or
    • Minimum of 1 year with a bachelor's degree.
Schedule:
Full-time opportunities available, including:
  • Weekday 1st shifts.
  • 1 Day Weekend shift.
