Job Description
Immigration Paralegal On-Site | Full-Time | Monday–Friday | $50,000–$55,000/year | Fort Lauderdale, FL
About the RoleYou'll be the in-office paralegal on our immigration team, working side by side with our attorneys on investor visas (E-2 and EB-5), family-based petitions, and nonimmigrant visa applications. Your days are spent building petitions, collecting documents from clients, and making sure every paper filing leaves our office complete and on time.
This isn't a remote job, and it isn't just paperwork. You're the person who makes sure a family's or a business owner's petition is right before it goes out the door, and the one clients hear from when we need something. If you're detail-driven and want to build a career in immigration law, there's room to grow here as we do.
Relevant Backgrounds: Paralegal · Legal Assistant · Immigration Case Manager · Case Assistant · Legal Secretary · Law Clerk · Law Office Administration
What You'll Do
- Build immigration petitions and supporting evidence packages for attorney review
- Prepare, check, and mail paper petitions so every form, signature, and exhibit is in place
- Request and review documents from clients, and follow up until the file is complete
- Draft cover letters, client correspondence, affidavits, and government forms
- Track deadlines, receipt notices, and case status in our case management system
- Give clients clear, plain-language updates on where their case stands
- Support the immigration team with scheduling and day-to-day case administration
What We're Looking ForRequired
- 1+ year of paralegal or legal support experience
- Associate's degree or paralegal certificate
- A sharp eye for detail. In immigration, one missing signature can get a filing rejected.
- Clear, professional writing and phone manner
- Able to work on-site in Fort Lauderdale, Monday through Friday
Preferred
- 1+ year of immigration paralegal experience, especially investor visas or family-based petitions
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with electronic case management software
- Bilingual
Compensation $50,000–$55,000 per year, depending on experience, plus health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off, and paid sick days.
