Implementation Engineer _ Telecommunications Engineer- III
Location: Indianapolis, INWork Setup: Hybrid (Average 3 days onsite per week)
Join a leading telecommunications organization focused on delivering reliable network infrastructure and engineering excellence. We are seeking an Implementation Engineer _ Telecommunications Engineer- III with 5–7 years of experience to support detailed engineering, database administration, reporting automation, and network equipment implementation across multiple engineering systems.
Implementation Engineer _ Telecommunications Engineer- III Responsibilities
Perform detailed location-specific equipment engineering, including developing installation specifications, equipment configuration, inventory management, and equipment turn-up.
Administer and maintain organizational databases to ensure applications and systems operate efficiently.
Build automated reports using Google Apps, Google Docs, Google Forms, and Tableau.
Create and customize Google Docs with automated workflows, menus, dialog boxes, and sidebars.
Manage and update engineering systems including IFP, XNG, and SPM to support new builds, equipment additions, and decommissions.
Document network elements including technical facilities, locations, bays, shelves, alarm points, and equipment identifiers.
Engineer floor space, rack layouts, cable measurements, power/fuse/breaker assignments, and equipment cooling requirements.
Create workflows within required engineering systems and ensure compliance with engineering, financial, planning, operational, and national standards.
Communicate technical issues to lead engineers, collaborate with regional teams to resolve implementation challenges, and recommend process improvements with national impact.
Work daily within engineering platforms including UUI/CoFEE, ICON, CCP, VPNS, ACTP, Venue, and FUZE.
Implementation Engineer _ Telecommunications Engineer- III Qualifications
Required Qualifications
5–7 years of experience in telecommunications engineering, implementation engineering, or database administration.
Experience administering enterprise databases and supporting engineering applications.
Strong proficiency with Google Apps, Google Docs, Google Forms, and workflow automation.
Experience creating dashboards and automated reporting using Tableau.
Knowledge of telecommunications equipment engineering, network documentation, and infrastructure implementation.
Experience managing engineering documentation, equipment placement, cable routing, power planning, and inventory records.
Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Verizon engineering systems including UUI/CoFEE, ICON, CCP, VPNS, ACTP, Venue, and FUZE.
Knowledge of telecommunications network infrastructure, equipment installation, and engineering standards.
Experience identifying and implementing process improvements across engineering operations.
Implementation Engineer _ Telecommunications Engineer- III Education & Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field preferred.
Relevant database administration, telecommunications, networking, or Tableau certifications are a plus.
