  • Manage import and export compliance by maintaining accurate customs tariff classifications (HTS/HS codes), ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations, ACE data requirements, recordkeeping, valuation, country of origin, and classification, while monitoring regulatory changes and implementing process updates.

  • Partner with freight forwarders, customs brokers, legal counsel, manufacturing, site leadership, and commercial teams to support customs operations, CTPAT and freight security initiatives, supply chain compliance, and broader trade compliance projects.

Main responsibilities:

  • Drive import and export compliance by managing customs tariff classifications (HTS/HS codes) and ensuring adherence to U.S. Customs regulations, ACE requirements, valuation, country of origin, and recordkeeping standards.

  • Monitor evolving trade regulations and implement process improvements to maintain compliance while supporting efficient global trade operations.

  • Partner cross-functionally with freight forwarders, customs brokers, legal counsel, manufacturing, site leadership, and commercial teams to resolve trade compliance issues and support customs operations.

  • Support CTPAT, freight security, and broader supply chain compliance initiatives while contributing to continuous improvement and regulatory excellence.

  • Lead initiatives that strengthen operational performance, simplify processes, and promote a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Mentor and collaborate with team members while fostering an inclusive, high-performing environment that supports professional growth and business success.

  • Champion sustainability, responsible business practices, and customer-focused decision-making to positively impact the business and the communities it serves.

About you: 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with 3+ years of experience in international trade, import/export compliance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with import/export compliance, customs classifications, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, document audits, database management, and compliance reporting.

  • Strong technical writing, document control, and standards management experience with the ability to make sound compliance decisions supported by data and regulatory requirements.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), along with strong interpersonal skills and a self-driven, adaptable approach.

  • Knowledge of Quality Systems, GMP requirements, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Hazmat Certification (IATA and IMDG preferred) and the ability to work onsite four days per week.
