Job TitleIncoming / Kitting Builder / Feeders
Job DetailsIncoming / Kitting Builder / Feeders will be $20–$23/hr Contract Temp to Permanent
Job LocationCT – Seymour, CT
DescriptionResponsible for receiving, inspecting, and organizing incoming electronic components and materials. Builds kits for production according to work orders and ensures feeders are accurately loaded and staged for SMT assembly. Works closely with the materials, production, and quality teams to maintain accurate inventory, support production readiness, and ensure compliance with company and customer requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Receive incoming components, PCBs, and assemblies; verify against packing slips and purchase orders
- Perform basic incoming inspection of electronic parts for damage, quantity, and documentation compliance
- Build kits for assembly according to bills of materials (BOMs), work orders, and production schedules
- Load and prepare feeders for SMT assembly lines, ensuring proper part orientation and verification
- Label, bag, and organize materials in accordance with company standards and ESD requirements
- Track materials through the Aegis shop floor/MIS system and update inventory records accurately
- Return unused materials to stock in proper condition after job completion
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of incoming, kitting, and feeder prep areas
- Collaborate with production, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve material discrepancies or shortages
QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Basic knowledge of electronic components, PCBs, and assemblies
- Familiarity with bills of materials (BOMs) and work order documentation
- Ability to read and follow assembly and material handling instructions
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under deadlines
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and ERP/MIS systems
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in compliance with OSHA and ESD safety policies
Preferred Certifications
- IPC Component Identification Certification
- ESD Handling Certification
