This position is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing metal products and components while maintaining established quality, production, and safety standards.The ideal candidate has previous industrial painting experience and is comfortable with surface preparation, industrial coatings, paint mixing, and professional spray equipment. Strong attention to finish quality, coverage, and consistency is essential for this position.Required Experience & Skills• Minimum 2 years of industrial painting experience preferred• Experience with industrial spray guns and coating systems• Knowledge of conventional, airless, and/or HVLP spray equipment• Experience preparing metal surfaces for painting and coating• Ability to properly mix paints and coatings according to specifications• Ability to read and follow work instructions and paint specifications• Knowledge of paint booth, respirator, solvent, and hazardous-material safety practices• Strong attention to detail and finish quality• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic• Ability to work independently and as part of a production teamEssential Duties & Responsibilities• Prepare metal products and components for painting• Sand, grind, clean, and mask surfaces according to production requirements• Remove contaminants and imperfections before coating application• Apply primers, paints, and protective coatings to metal surfaces• Operate conventional, airless, and HVLP spray equipment as required• Mix paints, primers, and coatings according to manufacturer and job specifications• Maintain proper coating consistency and application throughout production• Inspect painted surfaces for proper coverage, consistency, and overall finish quality• Identify runs, missed areas, uneven coverage, or other finish defects• Perform touch-ups or corrective painting when required• Follow production schedules and complete assigned work within required timeframes• Coordinate with production personnel to ensure finished products meet customer requirements• Maintain clean and organized paint and preparation areas• Perform additional industrial painting and finishing duties as assignedSurface Preparation ResponsibilitiesProper surface preparation is critical to this position and may include:• Sanding• Grinding• Cleaning and degreasing• Masking• Surface inspection• Removing contaminants and imperfections• Preparing components for primer and final coatingPainting & Coating EquipmentCandidates should have experience with or knowledge of:• Conventional spray guns• Airless spray equipment• HVLP spray equipment• Industrial primers• Protective coatings• Paint mixing equipment• Paint booths• Respirators and required PPE• Solvents and industrial cleaning materialsQuality Responsibilities• Inspect completed surfaces for finish quality• Verify proper paint and coating coverage• Maintain consistent appearance across finished components• Follow customer and production coating specifications• Identify defects before products move to the next production stage• Correct paint defects and perform touch-ups as necessary• Maintain strong attention to detail throughout the painting processPreferred Qualifications• 2+ years of industrial painting experience• Manufacturing or metal fabrication painting experience• Airless spray experience• HVLP painting experience• Conventional spray gun experience• Industrial coating experience• Metal surface preparation experience• Experience working from coating or paint specifications• Previous work in an industrial paint booth environmentPhysical Requirements• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, and repetitive upper-body movement• Manual dexterity required for spray painting and detailed finishing work• Ability to safely wear respirators and other required PPE• Comfortable performing physically active painting and preparation work throughout the shiftWork Environment• Industrial manufacturing and metal fabrication environment• Regular exposure to paints, coatings, solvents, and related materials• Work may be performed inside industrial paint booths and preparation areas• Regular use of spray equipment, grinders, sanding equipment, and other tools• Safety-sensitive environment requiring proper handling of coatings and hazardous materials• Strong emphasis on finish quality, productivity, cleanliness, and workplace safetyWhy You'll Want This Opportunity• Competitive pay of $22.00–$25.00/hour, based on experience• Stable Monday–Friday schedule• 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM day shift• Long-term temp-to-hire opportunity• Weekly pay• Hands-on industrial painting and coating experience• Opportunity to utilize conventional, airless, and HVLP spray skills• Work with industrial coatings and fabricated metal products• Excellent opportunity for experienced Industrial Painters looking for steady manufacturing workReady to Apply?Apply today for immediate consideration or call/text 918-582-0522 for more information.You can also apply in person at:Stand-By Personnel – Tulsa Skilled Division1531 E. 2nd St.Tulsa, OK 74120Monday–Friday | 8 AM – 4 PM
