Job Description
INDUSTRIAL SAND BLASTER
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Industrial Sand Blaster for a company based in Tuscaloosa, AL. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for preparing various metal surfaces using a variety of abrasive blasting equipment including but not limited to traditional, plastic media, steel shot, and glass bead blasting.
Pay Rate$15.00 to $18.00 per hour
Schedule and HoursMonday through Friday, 7 00 am to 4 00 pm.
Industrial Sand Blaster Duties and Responsibilities• Blasts metal surfaces clean to prepare them for paint applications• Grinds, sands, cleans or polishes objects or parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing using hand tools and power tools• Moves controls to adjust, start, or stop equipment during blasting or grinding processes
• Observes machine operations to detect any problems, making necessary adjustments to correct problems
• Moves levers or controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts to lift beams, load, unload, transport or stack materials
Industrial Sand Blaster Qualifications and Requirements• 1 year of blasting experience• Ability to use hand tools, small power tools, test equipment and willingness to learn• 50 pound lift assessment
