What You’ll Do

Provide warm, responsive, and nurturing care for infants
Follow individual feeding, sleeping, diapering, and care routines
Create engaging experiences through tummy time, sensory play, books, music, movement, and outdoor play
Support infants as they reach important developmental milestones
Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming classroom
Record bottles, meals, diapers, naps, activities, and daily updates
Communicate professionally and positively with families
Maintain active supervision and follow all safety, ratio, safe sleep, and licensing requirements
Work closely with co-teachers, support staff, and school leadership

What We’re Looking For

At least 19 years of age
High school diploma or GED
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Patience, empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to lift and carry infants and remain active throughout the day
Ability to meet Alabama childcare licensing and background-check requirements
Willingness to complete required training and professional development

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience working with infants in a childcare center, daycare, preschool, nursery, or early learning program
Child Development Associate credential
Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or a related field
Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification
Knowledge of infant development and safe sleep practices
