Information Assurance Specialist Information System Security Officer I

The Information Assurance Specialist supports the MS CRTC Information System Security Manager and protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of assigned networks and systems. The role supports Risk Management Framework authorization activities, vulnerability management, security compliance, and the installation emission security program in a mission-focused Air National Guard environment.

This position is well suited for an experienced information assurance professional who can translate cybersecurity requirements into disciplined operational action, maintain accurate authorization evidence, and coordinate effectively with technical teams and Government stakeholders.

·    Support the ISSM in completing and maintaining authorization and accreditation activities for all assigned networks.·    Develop, update, organize, and maintain RMF artifacts, security documentation, plans, inventories, and supporting evidence.·    Track security controls, findings, remediation actions, and authorization milestones; elevate risks or overdue actions promptly.·    Support the installation emission security program and maintain required EMSEC documentation, inspections, and corrective actions.·    Coordinate approved vulnerability scans, review results, validate remediation, and support deployment of the Enterprise Secure Host Baseline.·    Verify compliance with applicable Air Force technical orders, notices, policies, baselines, and approved configuration requirements.·    Assist with classified and unclassified system accreditation packages and user-access administration for managed systems.·    Document work, incidents, changes, and service requests accurately in Government-approved systems such as the EITSM platform.·    Collaborate with network, systems, enterprise service desk, and Government personnel to resolve cybersecurity and operational issues.·    Protect Government information and property and comply with all installation, physical security, and information-protection procedures.·    Support metrics, status reporting, quality control, and continual improvement activities related to information assurance services.

·    Active DoD Secret clearance at application.·    Six years of relevant information assurance, cybersecurity compliance, RMF, or related mission-support experience; a related bachelor's degree may substitute for five years, resulting in at least one year of relevant experience. Other qualifying education and practical-experience combinations may be considered.·    Ability to apply comprehensive knowledge to complex assignments, work with appreciable latitude, develop solutions, and contribute to deliverables and performance metrics.·    Working knowledge of DoD RMF, security controls, authorization documentation, vulnerability management, and secure configuration practices.·    Ability to obtain and maintain privileged access and satisfy all DoD 8140 training, evaluation, certification, background investigation, and experience requirements before assuming duties.·    DCWF primary work role 722 at the Intermediate proficiency level.·    CompTIA Security+ and successful completion of the Emission Security Manager Course before assuming duties, as required by the PWS.·    Strong written communication, documentation, analytical, organization, and stakeholder-coordination skills.

·    Experience supporting Air Force or Air National Guard networks and authorization packages.·    Experience with Enterprise Secure Host Baseline deployment, vulnerability scanning, and remediation tracking.·    Experience administering or supporting an installation EMSEC program.

Experience with ServiceNow or another enterprise IT service management platform.
