Job Description

Job Title: Information Security AnalystTerm: 12 Month Contract (possible extensions up to 24 months)Work Environment: On-SiteLocation: Downtown Financial District, NYCPay Rate: $75.00 to $105.00 per hour on W2Interview: Video and In-Person Position Overview: 

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Analyst to join an enterprise security team responsible for identifying, analyzing, and responding to emerging cyber threats and security incidents.

This position combines threat intelligence, security operations, incident response, threat hunting, investigations, and executive-level communication. The ideal candidate can take information from multiple open and closed sources, analyze potential threats, and turn that information into actionable intelligence for both technical teams and senior leadership.

This role also requires strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization as well as external law enforcement contacts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and evaluate threat information from a variety of open and closed sources.

  • Transform threat intelligence into actionable recommendations for security and business stakeholders.

  • Conduct security analysis, triage, investigations, and incident response activities.

  • Perform proactive threat hunting across hybrid technology environments.

  • Analyze security logs, events, and telemetry to identify suspicious or potentially malicious activity.

  • Work with SIEM and security analytics platforms to investigate potential threats and incidents.

  • Collaborate with internal security, technology, risk, and business teams.

  • Coordinate and communicate with external contacts, including members of the law enforcement community.

  • Support the implementation of security and threat-intelligence programs across the organization.

  • Prepare clear, concise security reports and threat assessments.

  • Develop and deliver threat briefings to technical teams, business stakeholders, executives, and senior leadership.

  • Assist with security-related projects and initiatives from planning through execution.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Information Security experience, including direct exposure to incident response, security operations, or security investigations.

  • Hands-on experience collecting and analyzing cyber threat intelligence from open and closed sources.

  • Experience with threat hunting across hybrid environments.

  • Experience analyzing security logs and events using SIEM platforms such as Splunk or similar technologies.

  • Experience working with analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau or comparable platforms.

  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, systems, and security architectures.

  • Previous experience supporting or managing projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex security information into actionable intelligence.

  • Experience preparing written security reports, assessments, or intelligence products.

  • Strong presentation skills with experience delivering threat briefings to both technical and executive audiences.

  • Excellent analytical, investigative, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Ideal Candidate

The strongest candidate will combine hands-on cybersecurity knowledge with the ability to understand the broader significance of a potential threat. You should be comfortable investigating technical activity, identifying patterns across multiple intelligence sources, communicating findings clearly, and helping leadership understand potential risks and recommended actions.
