Information Security Consultant / Cybersecurity EngineerMadison, WisconsinFull Time / ContractOur client is seeking an experienced Information Security Consultant / Cybersecurity Engineer with strong enterprise cybersecurity experience supporting large-scale corporate environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise across multiple security disciplines, including cloud security, infrastructure security, endpoint protection, risk mitigation, and cybersecurity frameworks.This role requires professionals who can implement enterprise security controls, support ongoing security initiatives, automate security processes, and collaborate with infrastructure, application, and business teams to maintain a secure technology environment.Must possess:10+ years of Information Security, Cybersecurity, or Risk Management experience across multiple technical disciplines. Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Infrastructure/Networking, or related discipline. Security certifications preferred: CISSP GSEC GCIH GCIA OSCP Experience implementing and managing technical security controls across: Microsoft Azure Endpoints Operating Systems Databases Network Devices Experience with scripting languages such as: Python PowerShell Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks including: MITRE Telecommunication&CK Matrix CIS Critical Security Controls NIST Cybersecurity Framework Strong analytical, organizational, and project coordination skills. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain enterprise security controls. Support cybersecurity initiatives across cloud and on-premise environments. Configure and secure Azure cloud infrastructure and enterprise platforms. Secure operating systems, databases, endpoints, and network infrastructure. Automate security processes using Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages. Perform security assessments and recommend risk mitigation strategies. Support implementation of enterprise cybersecurity frameworks and security standards. Partner with Infrastructure, Security Operations, Application Development, and Business teams. Participate in enterprise security projects and ongoing risk management initiatives. Monitor emerging threats and recommend improvements to enterprise security posture. Document technical solutions, security standards, and operational procedures.
