Bridger Aerospace is an aerial firefighting company based in Belgrade, Montana, located at the Bozeman Yellowstone Airport (KBZN). It was founded in 2014 to support front-line firefighters with world-leading technology and aerial fire suppression systems. We have grown from operating a single plane to commanding a significant Air Attack and the largest Super Scooper fleet in the U.S. in less than eight years. Bridger is a leader in fighting wildfires, specializing in Air Attack, Fire Suppression, and Aerial Fire-Mapping technologies. About the Role
Bridger Aerospace is seeking a full-time on-site Information Security Technician to join our high-tech, dynamic family. The Bridger Aerospace Information Security Technician is responsible for providing security and IT support to the organization's employees, computer systems, networks, and applications. This is a hybrid role; you will support the enterprise's technical and administrative security functions while also providing on-site IT support to a group of 20-30 at our FMS Aerospace office in Huntsville, Alabama.
Reports to: Senior Information Security Specialist
What You'll Do:
- Monitor security systems (MDR portal, SIEM, email filtering) for threats, intrusions, and abnormal activity
- Triage events and escalate true positives, supporting follow-on incident response actions
- Perform vulnerability scans, identify security risks, and perform remediation activities
- Assist users with security-related issues, manage user access permissions, and ensure adherence to security protocols
- Implement recurring administrative security controls such as user access and access policy reviews
- Support internal and external audits and assessments through the collection and provision of requested evidence
- Work within governance, risk and compliance frameworks such as Sarbanes-Oxley and CMMC.
- Assist senior security personnel with investigations of confirmed events
- Provide phone, remote, and onsite technical support to Bridger Aerospace/FMS Aerospace employees
- Respond to and resolve end user hardware and software issues in a timely manner
- Preparation, testing, and deployment of desktop and laptop IT hardware and software
- Utilize remote management tools from Microsoft and third-party vendors
- Manage user access and permissions using Entra ID and MS365
- Implement defined administrative and technical policies
- Proactively identify areas for improvement in policies, procedures and security controls
- Provision, deprovision or modify user access to Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications
- Participate in configuration and troubleshooting of network devices, including switches and access points
- Participate in configuration and troubleshooting of IOT devices, to include video conferencing
- Document work performed in the ticketing system of record
- As defined by Management, review IT publications and online training materials and participate in, and/or maintain, specific IT Training or certifications
- Brief users on their responsibilities with regards to information system security and train users on prescribed security restrictions and safeguards
What We're Looking For:
- Experience triaging security alerts using SIEM or EDR/MDR portals
- 2-4 years of progressive Help Desk/Desktop Support/Systems Administration professional experience
- Hands-on experience managing users and computers in Entra ID
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex security and technical issues
- Proficiency with MS365 administration
- Applicable professional certifications such as: SC-300 Identity and Access Administrator Associate, MD-102 Endpoint Administrator Associate, AZ-104 Microsoft Azure Administrator, CompTIA A+, Network +, Security +, CCSP
- Experience providing technical support in medium to large organizations with a large remote workforce component
- Printer and peripheral setup, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) experience preferred
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
