Job Description
Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) Reston, VA (onsite) Pay From: $140,000 per Year
MUST:• Active TS/SCI clearance with• Preferred CI Polygraph• 6+ years of working experience• 4+ years of ISSE, Cybersecurity, or Information Assurance experience supporting DoD or Federal programs• Strong RMF experience• Experience with NIST 800-53 security controls• Experience developing and maintaining SSPs, SARs, and POA&Ms• Experience supporting ATO processes• Experience with DoD cybersecurity policies and requirements• Experience with DISA STIGs and SRGs• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills• Intelligence Community, DoD, or classified program experience• eMASS experience (preferred)• ACAS, Nessus, or other vulnerability scanning experience (preferred)• Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) experience (preferred)• Azure Government or AWS GovCloud experience (preferred)• Security architecture and system engineering experience (preferred)• DevSecOps or secure software development experience (preferred)• Current DoD 8140/8570 IAT II or IAM II certification, such as Security+ CE, CISSP, CASP+, CySA+, or equivalent• Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, Information Assurance, or related field
DUTIES:• Support RMF and ATO activities• Develop and maintain SSPs, SARs, POA&Ms, and other security documentation• Implement and validate NIST 800-53 security controls• Identify security risks, vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps• Review vulnerability scan results and support remediation• Support DISA STIG and SRG compliance• Work with developers, engineers, ISSOs, and system administrators to integrate security requirements• Support security assessments, audits, inspections, and compliance reviews• Support continuous monitoring and maintain system security posture
