A day in the life:
As an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) on this brand new contract, you will work with a team of cybersecurity and engineering professionals to support and maintain the security posture of critical information systems. This role involves ensuring systems operate in compliance with established security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements while protecting sensitive and classified information.
What you bring to the table:
- 10+ years of experience as an ISSO on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university OR 4 years of additional experience as an ISSO may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- DOD 8570 compliance IAM Level 1 (CAP, CND, Cloud+, GSLC, Security+CE, HCISPP) or higher
- Experience is to include at least 2 of the following areas: knowledge of current security tools; hardware/software security implementation; communication protocols; and encryption techniques/tools
- Ability to provide support for a program, organization, system, or enclave-s information assurance program
- Experience providing support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies
- Ability to maintain operational security posture for an information system or program to ensure information systems security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed
- Experience assisting with the management of security aspects of the information system and performing day-to-day security operations of the system
- Ability to evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information.
- Ability to perform vulnerability risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation.
- Experience with configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
- Ability to manage changes to system and assesses the security impact of those changes. Prepares and reviews documentation to include System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs)
- Experience supporting security authorization activities in compliance with National Institute of Standards and Technology Risk Management Framework (NISTRMF).
- A TS/SCI with Polygraph level of security clearance
The total package:
- Disclosed pay ranges are a general guideline, and are not a guarantee of a final salary or compensation. Our approach in determining final salaries takes into consideration a number of factors such as education, certifications, total years of relevant professional experience, actual level of expertise, and the responsibilities of the role itself.
- Based on the outlined roles, responsibilities, and requirements, the projected pay range for this position is: $160,000 - $200,000.
