Lead Java Developer

Plano, TX (Hybrid 4 days onsite)

Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Java Developer to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of passionate developers and analysts, ensuring high-quality development and adherence to best practices. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot, as well as experience in cloud-native applications and front-end frameworks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Looking for a Lead Java Developer with extensive experience in Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot
Strong backend development expertise
Experience with front-end frameworks such as Vue.js, Angular, or React
Advanced UI development skills in JavaScript and TypeScript
Cloud deployment expertise, particularly with AWS
Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases
Expertise in architectural design and multithreading
Experience in Function Test Automation using PlayWright and Karate

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Experience with UI frameworks such as Quasar, Vuetify, PrimeVue, and NUXT
Hands-on work with APIs, REST, and integration patterns
Experience with eventing platforms like Kafka
Knowledge of DevOps and CICD practices

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Lead a team of developers and analysts, providing technical guidance and mentorship
Design scalable and robust solutions aligned with business needs and system architecture
Manage integrations with third-party applications and enterprise systems
Monitor and optimize application platform performance for high availability and reliability
Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance standards
Collaborate with business teams, product managers, and other technical teams to deliver solutions
Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards
Develop and deploy scalable Java J2EE applications and micro-services using Spring Boot
Build dynamic front-end applications and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS
