Job Description

- Perform Source-to-Target Verification to ensure data accuracy and completeness throughout ETL processes.
- Validate data movement across extract, transform, and load (ETL) phases by comparing source and target systems.
- Perform row count validation, column-level comparisons, and data reconciliation between:
- Flat files
- APIs
- Relational databases
- Data warehouse systems
- Validate data transformation logic, including:
- Business rules
- Data type conversions
- Aggregations
- Filtering logic
- Execute data quality and integrity checks to identify:
- Null values
- Duplicate records
- Data truncation issues
- Primary key and foreign key constraint violations
- Create and maintain:
- Test plans
- Test scenarios
- Test cases
- Defect reports
- Analyze Source-to-Target Mapping (STM) documents and validate ETL workflows against business requirements.
- Perform Business Intelligence (BI) report and dashboard validation using tools like:
- Power BI
- Tableau
- Ensure reports accurately represent data stored in enterprise data warehouses.
- Strong proficiency in SQL including:
- Complex joins
- Subqueries
- Group By
- Aggregations
- Data comparison queries
- Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, including:
- Fact and dimension tables
- Star schema
- Snowflake schema
- Dimensional modeling
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as:
- Informatica PowerCenter
- AWS Glue
- Talend
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- SSIS
- Experience with scripting and automation using:
- Python
- Shell scripting
- PowerShell
- Ability to understand and analyze:
- Data models
- Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs)
- Database normalization and denormalization concepts
- Strong ETL QA testing experience with focus on:
- Data completeness
- Data accuracy
- Data transformation validation
- Data reconciliation
- Strong knowledge of Data Warehouse and BI Testing.
- Experience using data profiling and automation techniques for ETL validation.
