Information Technology Specialist The Arizona Humane Society is looking for a passionate and skilled Information Technology Specialist to join our team at our Papago Park Campus! Discounts on veterinary services and other pet perks! Day in the Life:The IT Specialist will provide exceptional customer service and quality IT support to empower team members across the organization to use technology efficiently and effectively in support of our lifesaving mission. This role will provide technical assistance for workstations, laptops, thin clients, printers, peripherals, and other technology systems through in-person, remote, phone, and email support.The IT Specialist will install and configure hardware and software, diagnose and resolve technical issues, respond to service requests, document completed work, assist with IT projects, and provide support for the organization's phone system. The ideal candidate will be a skilled problem solver who enjoys helping others, demonstrates strong customer service skills, and is passionate about using their technical expertise to support a mission-driven organization dedicated to improving the lives of animals and the people who care for them. Job Requirements:​High school diploma and relevant IT certifications (e.g. MCITP, MCSE, etc.). Associates Degree in an information technology area and relevant IT certifications OR a Bachelor's Degree in an information technology area preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with at least one year of experience supporting business users in a hybrid Microsoft-centric environment. Network troubleshooting experience a plus.Excellent time management, adaptability, judgment and decision-making skills are required.Very strong team player, able to assimilate into a high-performing team.Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to build relationships with employees at all levels. Must have a good working knowledge of computers, software, operating systems and local area networks. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Explorer; able to learn other software programs as necessary. Physical Demands/Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. There will be exposure to dust, heat, cold and temperature changes; occasional wet floors, and animal noises, odors and dander. Most time will be spent in a typical air conditioned and heated office environment.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
