Job Description

We are Diversified, a global B2B events and media company that strengthens business communities by fostering a space, in person and online, for professionals and businesses to connect and grow. The company serves as a trusted partner across several industries including active lifestyle, business management, clean energy, commercial marine, healthcare, seafood, technology and more. Established in 1949 and headquartered in Portland, Maine, the global company has divisions and offices around the world in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. Diversified is a third-generation, family-owned business. Join our team as an Infrastructure Manager!

About the Role

Diversified is looking for an Infrastructure Manager to own and evolve the technology backbone that keeps our team connected and our business running. This is a role for someone who thinks strategically about where infrastructure is heading, knows how to bring a team along with them, and isn't afraid to get into the details when it matters. You'll oversee our hybrid cloud environment, lead the infrastructure team, and partner closely with IT and business leaders to make sure our infrastructure scales with our ambitions.

This is an onsite-anchored hybrid role and we're looking for candidates who are within commutable distance to our office based in Portland, ME.

If you're energized by the challenge of building resilient, future-ready infrastructure - and leading the people who make it happen - we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Own the design, performance, and reliability of our hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure
  • Lead and develop infrastructure team members while partnering cross-functionally across IT and the business to align on goals and deliver shared outcomes
  • Develop and execute a cloud strategy across AWS and Azure that balances capability, cost, and security
  • Drive major infrastructure projects - migrations, upgrades, and new technology implementations - from planning through delivery
  • Manage our O365 environment and identify opportunities to expand how we use it
  • Partner with our Security team to maintain strong controls and ensure compliance across all infrastructure components
  • Build and manage vendor relationships and the infrastructure budget, finding value without sacrificing reliability
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans, and test them regularly
  • Translate infrastructure needs and tradeoffs into clear communication for non-technical stakeholders

What You'll Bring

  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, with demonstrated experience in a leadership or management capacity
  • Hands-on expertise with hybrid cloud environments and proficiency with AWS and/or Azure
  • Strong hands on knowledge of network architecture, virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), and the O365 ecosystem
  • Experience leading infrastructure projects end-to-end, including disaster recovery planning
  • A collaborative, people-first approach to team leadership - you develop your people, not just your systems
  • Strong communication skills and genuine curiosity about stakeholder needs
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or related field; certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or CCNP; experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)

Travel: Up to 6 times per year.

Why Diversified?

  • Work Environment: We offer the flexibility to enjoy a hybrid work schedule. Let our culture speak for itself.
  • Work-Life Balance: Generous paid time off programs including vacation, sick leave and paid family and medical leave.
