Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Injection Mold Design Engineer located in Buffalo Grove IL.Reporting to the Design and Engineering Manager, the Injection Mold Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and engineering tooling protocols for molds, jigs and fixtures as required to meet products specifications. Designing and developing components, products, equipment, and systems.
What a typical day looks like:Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree optional, but must have at least 3 years' work experience in the following from mold design or medical device manufacturing (or similar) companies:
- Plastic injection molding
- Mold design
- Tool design / engineering
- Interpreting layouts and drawings
- Capacities analysis
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
Ideal/highly desirable work experience:
- Expert knowledge in injection plastic molding and tooling experience
- SolidWorks; Siemens/NX, and/or PRO-E
- Knowledge of medical validations
