Job Description Summary:

UofL Physicians- UofL Health is seeking a full-time cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for inpatient cardiology care. The position cares for patients at various UofL Health hospitals and requires five eight-hour day shifts weekly. Both APRNs and PA-Cs are encouraged to apply.

Job Description:

Responsibilities include inpatient rounding, care for adult cardiology patients, and supervision of noninvasive cardiology testing.

There is no mandatory call.

Qualified candidates are clinically proficient, possess a collaborative team mentality, and are effective communicators. They will deliver high-quality health care in a professional, compassionate, and courteous manner while respecting the dignity and individuality of each person who comes in contact with the organization by following the Standards of Excellence, Behavior, and Professional Appearance and Conduct.

Experience in cardiology is strongly preferred.

Minimum Requirements- Physician Assistant (PA)

  • Graduate of an accredited PA program with current national certification.
  • Current licensure in the state of Kentucky and/or Indiana.
  • Current ACLS/BLS certifications.

Minimum Requirements- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure in the state of Kentucky as an APRN.
  • Current, unrestricted DEA certificate.
  • Current CPR and BLS certifications.
