With state-of-the-art facilities and a dedicated team of professionals, we are poised for growth and seeking individuals that want to be a part of telling our story.JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Inside Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with a portfolio of customers, as well as supporting outside sales representatives to successfully gain new customers. This role includes preparing quotes and proposals, following up on outstanding quotes, processing sales orders, providing customer service and communicate effectively with all stakeholders. The Inside Account Manager will leverage strong communication skills and product knowledge to serve as a trusted advisor to clients, address their needs, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional service.RESPONSIBILITIESAccount Growth & Revenue Generation
- Source new sales opportunities via inbound lead follow-up and outbound calls/emails.
- Research potential leads using all available resources.
- Qualify incoming leads and route to the appropriate outside sales representative.
- Prepare and provide accurate quotes and proposals to prospects and customers.
- Understand APX pricing strategy and collaborate with sales management to deliver optimal customer solutions while achieving corporate goals.
- Consistently follow up on all outstanding opportunities.
- Adhere to the delegation of authority policy for pricing approvals and documentation.
- Answer incoming sales calls professionally and promptly.
- Respond quickly to prospect and customer inquiries, providing regular updates.
- Assist in resolving customer issues and concerns.
- Facilitate communication between sales, engineering, operations, logistics, and accounting teams.
- Coordinate meetings and conference calls with prospects and customers, assembling the appropriate internal team.
- Build strong relationships with inside sales representatives and other departments to drive overall company success.
- Develop a deep understanding of APX’s products, services, and industry trends.
- Provide consultative solutions, demonstrating how products/services address specific client needs.
- Stay informed about competitive offerings and market dynamics.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the sales pipeline and account/project statuses.
- Provide weekly work plans and activity reports to the sales manager.
- Update and maintain all customer records in the APX customer database.
- Participate in ongoing sales and professional development training.
- Perform other tasks as assigned to support the sales and operations teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3–5 years in inside sales, account management, customer success, or a similar client-facing role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong client relationships.
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills; able to articulate complex information clearly.
- Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills; able to connect with diverse personalities.
- Customer Focus: Proactive and empathetic approach to meeting client needs.
- Negotiation: Skilled in contract negotiation and reaching mutually beneficial agreements.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve issues effectively.
- Organization & Time Management: Ability to manage multiple accounts, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
