Job Description
Inside Sales / Estimator Job in Danbury, CT: Salary Range: $60-65,000 We are seeking an Inside Sales / Estimator for a well-established, technologically advanced electronics manufacturer. This is a detail-oriented role combining administrative expertise, analytical thinking, and strong math skills to review technical documentation, communicate with customers and suppliers, and manage the quoting process from start to finish. The right candidate will be comfortable working with bills of materials and Excel, and will also help guide team members and keep quoting procedures on track.Responsibilities of the Inside Sales / Estimator Job in Danbury, CT:
- Review, organize, and evaluate incoming RFQs, bills of materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, and technical files.
- Assist with the preparation and processing of accurate, competitive customer quotes.
- Convert customer BOMs into standardized Excel and quoting formats.
- Prepare and submit RFQs to suppliers and track responses.
- Serve as the main point of contact for quote-related questions from customers and suppliers.
- Help prioritize and distribute quoting work to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
- Guide team members on established procedures and review quotes for accuracy and quality.
- Enter and maintain information in internal databases, ERP systems, and Excel.
- Maintain tracking reports and prepare quote letters, status updates, and related documentation.
- Associate degree in Business or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent education and hands-on experience may be considered.
- Experience reviewing and interpreting contracts, RFQs, and customer requirements.
- Electronics or manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with blueprints, material specifications, and/or DFARS is highly desirable.
- Strong math, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work independently.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including data manipulation and conversion, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and quoting software.
- This position requires access to information subject to ITAR and/or EAR. Candidates must meet applicable eligibility requirements for access to export-restricted information.
