Sales Representative
Unalam - Unadilla, NY

Presently, Unalam is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join their Unadilla, NY based team. This role focuses on selling custom, project-based building products to customers and professionals across the construction and design industries.
This opportunity is ideal for a relationship-driven sales professional who enjoys managing projects from initial inquiry through completion and working closely with estimating and operations teams.
Position Overview
The Sales Representative is responsible for developing new business, maintaining existing customer relationships, and supporting the bidding and estimating process for custom projects. This role works directly with senior sales leadership and internal teams to move opportunities forward efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage customer relationships from quotes through sale
- Handle inbound inquiries and follow up on active prospects within 24 hours
- Identify and prospect new customers, including contractors, architects, engineers, municipalities, and private owners
- Cold call and reconnect with past customers to generate new business
- Track sales activity and maintain accurate records and reports
- Collaborate with sales leadership and estimating teams on bids and larger projects
- Assist with logistics coordination for sold jobs
- Review customer drawings and design concepts
- Coordinate samples and conduct facility tours for prospective clients
- While in office 95% of the time, travel locally and regionally as needed
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- 3–5 years of sales experience selling custom or project-based products
- Construction or manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Self-motivated, accountable, and comfortable working independently or on a team
- Ability to understand technical drawings and specifications
- Clean New York State driving record
Compensation
- $33–$36 per hour
