Job Description

Job Summary

The Install Electrician is responsible for the electrical scope of HVAC and equipment installations. They run circuits for AC installs, install and wire electrical service panels, and make final equipment connections — completing every installation safely, to code, and to Signature’s quality standards. The Install Electrician works closely with the HVAC install teams and the Electrical Manager to deliver timely, professional installations, and provides hands-on guidance to apprentices working alongside them.

Duties & Responsibilities

Run circuits and pull wiring for air conditioning and equipment installations
Install, wire, and upgrade electrical service panels and disconnects
Make final electrical connections to installed equipment and verify safe, proper operation
Ensure all work meets NEC and local electrical and building codes and passes inspection
Adhere to all safety protocols on every job site
Coordinate with HVAC install crews on staging, timing, and job requirements
Provide on-the-job guidance and training to electrician apprentices
Maintain tools, materials, and vehicle stock, and keep a clean, safe work area

Required Skills & Abilities

Proficiency running circuits, wiring service panels, and connecting equipment
Commitment to exceptional customer satisfaction
Ability to read and apply electrical plans, codes, and load calculations
Ability to guide and train apprentices on the job
Detail orientation
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in PC and software use including the Microsoft 365 suite of applications

Education & Experience

Valid NM Journeyman (EE-98J) or equivalent electrician license
Proven experience with installs, service panels, and equipment connections
Strong knowledge of electrical and building codes and standards

Physical Demands

Must be physically able to lift, lower, push, and pull objects of up to 50 lbs. unassistedAbility to stand, sit, walk, walk on uneven surfaces or unstable ground, climb, bend, stoop, reach, balance, talk, hear, taste, smell, and crouch, all for extended periods of time
Position requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel
