Instructor - Everett, Seattle or Renton, WA
Full-time, Long-term contract
In-Office, must be willing to potentially commute between locations (mileage paid)
The Opportunity
This client has a long-term role for Technical Instructors. You will work 30-40 hours per week. Overtime is paid after 40 hours. A great fit will be a previous instructor or teacher who has a strong technical aptitude or knowledge (HVAC, plumbing, caulking, mechanical, or electrical). Training will be provided. Ex-military would be a great fit, even if there is no teaching or technical experience. This is a business casual dress environment, and it requires a flexible and adaptable worker.
Shifts: 1st, 2nd shifts availabe and you will work 1 overnight shift once or twice per year
Previous teaching experience is preferred, but will consider those who are technically strong (electrical, mechanical, caulking tiles, crimping, soldering, aircraft assembly, heavy structure, drilling, blueprint reading, production standards, sealant application, confined space, environmental health and safety, etc.), and can learn to instruct
Able-bodied, must be able to move, stand and walk easily (between up to 5 buildings) and without restriction
Strong communication skills, personable, collaborative and patient persona
Naturally strong technical aptitude, troubleshooting and analytical skills
Must be comfortable working within an environment that is structured
Able to be flexible and work when required
Background check and drug screen will be required
Must have a reliable vehicle and be able to work at different locations (Seattle, Renton, Everett, Auburn and Fredrickson, depending on where you reside)
Mileage will be reimbursed based on 2026 IRS rates
Must be a citizen of the USA
If selected, a video interview with our client will be set up. Must be able to present a 5-minute teaching presentation (spoken or slides) on any subject.
Previous employees have worked on long-term contracts and then converted to a permanent role.
