#Eng-IT-01 Job Summary

We are seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to contribute significantly to cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing projects in Boise, ID. This is a high-impact opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-tech environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and key stakeholders at the forefront of advanced manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering and design oversight during the installation of semiconductor manufacturing tools.
  • Review and influence instrumentation and controls designs related to factory control systems, fire alarms, chemical controls, and toxic gas monitoring (TGM) systems.
  • Develop and review technical specifications for tool installation.
  • Review vendor submittals and design deliverables to ensure compliance with client requirements and applicable codes.
  • Collaborate closely with facilities, construction, vendors, and internal project teams to ensure successful execution.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an associated degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • 5 years of experience in engineering design of industrial control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of International Fire Code (IFC), International Mechanical Code (IMC), UL, and IEEE standards.
  • Experience selecting and specifying electrical and controls equipment and systems.
  • Proven ability to review vendor submittals against contractual and technical requirements.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills in multidisciplinary environments.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • 2 years of experience with semiconductor manufacturing tools (design, installation, or cleanroom use).
  • Field experience working directly with subcontractors and construction personnel.
  • Familiarity with BIM/CAD tools such as Revit or AutoCAD.
  • A forward-thinking mindset with a desire to learn, innovate, and continuously improve.
