- Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for repairs based on priority and available manpower.
- Monitor I&E Technicians' performance levels and conduct performance reviews.
- Manage & enter time-off requests/approvals.
- Perform inspections, repairs, calibrations, and troubleshooting on equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions for installation, commissioning, and repair of all types of process instrumentation and distributed control systems/equipment, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components.
- Ensure all repairs and calibrations are in compliance with all company and industrial regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Work with 480-Volt 3 Phase power and equipment controls.
- Monitor tool & part inventories and the condition of the maintenance shop to ensure adequate working conditions.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate maintenance policies and procedures.
- Aid in the professional development of the I&E Technicians.
- Aid in conducting or arranging training for I&E Technicians in the areas of safety, repair or maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.
- Aid in root cause analysis (RCA) and make recommendations.
- Aid in Emergency Response (HAZMAT, Confined Space Rescue, and First Aid)
- Other duties as assigned.
- 18+ years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of apprenticeship, vocational, experience, or education preferred.
- 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in Instrumentation & Electrical preferred
- Experience in the management of a CMMS program preferred.
- Project & Budget Management experience preferred.
- Must have working knowledge of the following topics: pH, flow, temperature, pressure, conductivity and mass measurements, AC and DC control methods, 24V - 480V, (4160V & 12.47V 3ph) electrical systems and troubleshooting, VFD's, burner controls, smart meters, PLC/DCS controls & methods, automated systems, vibration monitoring systems, load cells, control valves, blueprint reading, mathematics, preventive/predictive maintenance, and Process Safety Management (PSM).
- Ability to effectively communicate with various departments and team members.
- Ability to wear and work in required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs, lift and carry up to 50Ibs, and work at heights.
- Ability to work overtime as needed, including holidays and weekends.
- Familiar with CMMS software and other required applications.
- Possess basic Microsoft Word & Excel skills.
- Possess basic math skills.
- Possess reading and comprehension skills.
