TEAM OVERVIEW

The Insurance-Funded Product Strategies team is involved in KKR's global capital raising activities including the structuring and execution of third-party capital vehicles, strategic partnerships and solutions to support the firm's insurance business.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Insurance-Funded Product Strategies Team (within KKR Client Solutions) is looking for an Associate to be based in New York. The new addition to the team will work on a range of activities including structuring new (re)insurance co-investment vehicles, new product/solution development, marketing/fundraising, ongoing investor relations for the firm's (re)insurance co-investment vehicles, and designing customized solutions for third-party insurance companies.

The candidate will work closely with multiple stakeholders including (i) the investment professionals and deal teams of the insurance business to understand the deal pipeline and overall market dynamics, (ii) sales professionals to support fundraising efforts, and (iii) finance/operations professionals to understand vehicle performance. Specific responsibilities will include creating and updating marketing materials and quarterly presentations, preparing bespoke strategic proposals, responding to investor queries and supporting the execution of strategic initiatives related to existing (re)insurance co-investment vehicles. The successful candidate will also participate in fundraising activities and will be involved in technical diligence processes with clients.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

Qualified candidates will have spent 2-4 years as an Analyst or Associate at an insurance company, asset management firm, investment bank, or private equity firm in a product management, investor relations, capital markets, investment banking, corporate development, or other client-facing role. Ideal candidates will have exposure to insurance and (re)insurance, capital markets transactions, or insurance M&A, and a working understanding of the insurance and (re)insurance landscape and strategies. Experience with (re)insurance structures, insurance capital solutions, or insurance corporate development is a plus but not required. We are most focused on team-oriented candidates with strong analytical backgrounds, outstanding oral and written communication skills, maturity, presence, and sound judgment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with senior team members on structuring, raising, and maintaining (re)insurance co-investment vehicles for firm's insurance business

  • Maintain an open dialogue with investors and provide ongoing client support

  • Work closely with:

  • Investment professionals, deal teams, and the firm's insurance business to understand the current portfolio, deal pipeline, and overall market dynamics

  • Sales professionals to pursue new business opportunities and investor relations globally

  • Finance/Operations/Compliance/Legal professionals for ongoing investor reporting and communications

  • Create and update marketing materials, quarterly presentations, board/LPAC materials, and ad-hoc analysis

  • Manage and address client-specific follow-up requests and projects

  • Participate in live fundraising activities and be involved in the investor and legal diligence process

  • Support the execution and structuring of (re)insurance co-investment vehicles and other insurance capital solutions

  • Build and maintain financial models and perform analysis to evaluate new business opportunities and existing business trends

  • Execution and administration of transaction processes

  • Content driven with the ability to communicate complex and nuanced topics to a wide range of audiences
  • Maturity, presence, sound judgment, and ability to form and express opinions and ideas effectively to cross-divisional teams including senior management
  • Strong relationship development skills, including remotely, with global teams and with individuals of whom work is being requested
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to help out wherever necessary
  • Adaptable and flexible, able to navigate shifting priorities

This is the expected annual base salary range for this New York-based position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.

Base Salary Range

$120,000 - $150,000 USD
