Dental Insurance/ Treatment CoordinatorWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Insurance / Treatment Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess experience in insurance processing, treatment planning, and patient communication.
This role offers a great opportunity to support patients through their dental care treatment while ensuring smooth administrative workflows. The coordinator will serve as a vital link between patients, insurance providers, and the clinical team, fostering a positive and efficient environment for all involved.
Duties:
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits to accurately determine coverage details and out-of-pocket costs for patients.
- Explain treatment plans, financial options, and insurance benefits clearly to patients to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Submit insurance claims promptly and follow up on outstanding claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Assist patients in understanding their dental insurance policies and answer questions related to coverage and billing procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, insurance information, and treatment plans by documentation.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure treatment plans align with insurance requirements and patient needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient concerns related to billing, insurance, or treatment options efficiently.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working in a dental office environment with a focus on insurance coordination or administrative support.
- Strong knowledge of dental insurance policies, terminology, and claim submission processes.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental procedures and treatments.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective communication skills for explaining complex insurance information clearly to patients.
- Prior experience with dental office management software ( SoftDent ) or electronic health records is preferred.
