Pay: $140,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year

Candidates must have experience with long-term care insurance litigation, life insurance litigation, and insurance bad faith litigation, along with an active California bar license.

Job Description

Represent policyholders in insurance bad faith litigation involving long-term care and life insurance claims.
Develop litigation strategies tailored to the facts and legal issues of each case.
Handle matters through discovery, motion practice, negotiations, and litigation.
Analyze insurance policies, claims files, medical and financial records, and other complex evidence.
Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents.
Take and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings as appropriate.
Communicate directly with clients and collaborate with attorneys and legal professionals throughout the life of a case.
Build compelling cases against insurers while advocating for policyholders' rights and benefits.

Qualifications

Active California bar license in good standing.
1+ year of long-term care insurance litigation experience.
1+ year of life insurance litigation experience.
1+ year of insurance bad faith litigation experience.
Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and litigation skills.
Excellent communication and case-management abilities.
Candidates at any associate or attorney level are encouraged to apply.
In-house and solo practice backgrounds are welcome when the required litigation experience is present.
