The Insurance Compliance Analyst supports regulatory reporting and data integrity initiatives that are critical to compliance and operational success.
Key responsibilities include:
Prepare, validate, and coordinate bureau reporting rollups and regulatory submissions for workers' compensation data
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of statistical and financial reporting submitted to the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) and independent state bureaus
Support additional regulatory data calls, including ISO, indemnity, and medical reporting requirements
Perform data analysis and validation to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with regulatory reporting standards
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve reporting questions and support ad hoc data requests
Maintain documentation of reporting processes and assist with improving reporting workflows
Manage multiple reporting deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Adapt to evolving regulatory requirements, reporting processes, and technology updates
What We're Looking For
The ideal Insurance Compliance Analyst is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working with structured datasets and regulatory reporting requirements.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but not required
Minimum of one year of experience in regulatory reporting, insurance data analysis, compliance, or a related function, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Prior experience with commercial insurance bureau reporting, ideally in workers' compensation, is a plus
Skills and Qualifications
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; SQL proficiency preferred
Experience with data analytics, data visualization, or data mining tools is a plus
Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret and validate structured datasets
Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly related to regulatory reporting and compliance
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Ability to work independently for extended periods while maintaining accuracy
Flexible, growth-focused mindset with the ability to adapt to new processes and technology
