In this role, you will be responsible for handling complex legal matters and projects involving 1st party insurance coverage. You will be expected to provide legal advice, handle insurance coverage disputes, and negotiate settlements. Your work will play an integral role in our organization, as you will be directly contributing to the strategic direction and success of our company. Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and guidance on 1st party insurance coverage matters to clients and stakeholders.
- Review and analyze insurance policies to determine coverage and identify potential issues.
- Handle insurance coverage disputes, including the preparation and presentation of arguments and evidence.
- Negotiate settlements and resolutions in insurance coverage disputes.
- Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to stay updated on current laws, regulations, and industry trends related to insurance coverage.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals in the legal team to manage cases and projects effectively.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize the legal risks and liabilities of the company.
- Provide training and guidance to other staff members on insurance coverage laws and regulations.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 2-7 years of experience as an Insurance Coverage Attorney, specifically dealing with 1st party coverage.
- Must be licensed to practice law in the state.
- Exceptional legal writing and research skills.
- Strong knowledge of insurance coverage laws and regulations.
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to handle complex legal matters and projects independently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in using legal research tools and software.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
