Job Description
Crawley Insurance Agency, a third-generation Farmers Insurance agency in Fullerton, is hiring two full-time Customer Service Representatives to support our growing book of business.
This is a service-first role handling inbound client requests, policy servicing, renewals, billing questions, and account management. You will be working inside an active book of clients, not starting from scratch.
At the same time, cross-selling and account rounding are required parts of the role. You will review client policies, identify coverage gaps, and offer additional products such as auto, home, and life insurance.
This is not a passive service position. You must be comfortable managing a high volume of service work while proactively identifying opportunities to improve client coverage.
Compensation:
- Starting pay is based on experience and license status
- Entry-level candidates typically start at $18.00 to $20.00 per hour during the first 90 days
- $1.00 per hour increase after successful completion of probationary period
- Experienced, currently licensed candidates may be offered higher starting compensation
- Additional production bonuses, incentives, and commissions
- Realistic Year 1 total compensation: $42,000 to $65,000+
Licensing:
- California Property & Casualty license preferred
- Unlicensed candidates with strong experience may be considered
- We will cover pre-licensing course and exam
- Must obtain license within 30 to 60 days
- Start date follows license issuance

Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls, billing inquiries, renewals, and daily service requests
- Respond to client emails and follow up on service items
- Conduct 3 to 5 policy reviews per day, identifying coverage gaps and cross-sell opportunities
- Cross-sell auto, home, life, and additional lines to existing clients
- Target: 8 to 10 bound policies per month
- Make outbound calls for renewals, follow-ups, and cross-sell opportunities
- Process client alerts, lender changes, returned mail, and contact updates
- Quote monoline policies and California FAIR Plan renewals
- Manage tasks and workflows in APEX, AgencyZoom, NowCerts, and Trello
- Use DocuSign, OneDrive, and RingCentral to manage documentation and communication
- Support front desk and general office workflow as needed
- California Property & Casualty license preferred
- Applicants without a license must obtain it within 30 to 60 days (we cover course and exam)
- Prior customer service or insurance experience required (insurance agency experience strongly preferred)
- Comfortable handling high call volume (3+ hours per day on phones)
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
- Comfortable identifying coverage gaps and recommending additional policies
- Goal-oriented with willingness to earn bonuses through cross-selling
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 and able to learn agency systems
- Must pass background check and Farmers appointment approval
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus
