Now hiring an Insurance Defense Legal Assistant for a dynamic law firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional looking to join a collaborative and long-term team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including transcribing legal correspondence, deposition summaries, and medical record summaries.
- Coordinate and confirm deposition schedules, meetings, and travel arrangements as needed.
- Communicate case details to clients as instructed by attorneys (without providing legal advice).
- Maintain case files, track deadlines, and manage legal documentation.
- Perform clerical duties such as faxing, photocopying, mailing, and filing.
- Research and retrieve case-related information in client files and legal databases.
- Assist with file openings and case organization.
- Ensure a professional office environment and positive representation of the firm.
Qualifications:
- 2 to 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in an insurance defense practice.
- Familiarity with the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, as well as Federal and Local Rules of the Middle District.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in legal transcription, scheduling, and document management.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
