Job Description

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to join our Shreveport Service Center team. As a key contributor, you will oversee the seamless flow of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, timely delivery, and optimal inventory management.

Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Shipment Processing: Prepare, package, and ship outgoing orders, selecting the most cost-effective and efficient methods.
  • Inbound Logistics: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, assign storage locations, and manage stock levels.
  • Warehouse Operations: Operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack) to load, unload, and move materials.
  • Recordkeeping: Document shipping and receiving activities, generate reports, and maintain organized records.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Rigging Certification preferred
  • Records maintenance skills preferred
  • Inventory management preferred
  • Good computer skills
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Ability to lift, push or pull items up to 70 lbs. in weight
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written
  • Ability to understand and follow safety procedures
  • Ability to receive, track, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment
  • Knowledge of light equipment operation and/or maintenance
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics
  • Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associates Degree or higher from an accredited college preferred
