- B Shift: Monday- Thursday, 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM
- C Shift: Friday- Sunday, 5:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- D Shift: Friday- Sunday, 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Integration Engineering Technician to support safe and efficient human spaceflight by applying technical expertise, precision tools, and continuous improvement practices. This role plays a critical part in configuring production environments, supporting manufacturing transitions, and ensuring quality and safety in aerospace integration processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure production work areas with appropriate tooling and equipment to support efficient workflows
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes, as well as precision tools including torque wrenches and micrometers
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and productivity
- Support transition from development to production through troubleshooting and maintenance
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces aligned with 5S principles
- Prepare and test payload systems and hardware, including sealing, repairs, and installation support
- Apply thermal protection systems (TPS) to flight hardware following engineering specifications and procedures
- Perform surface preparation, fixturing, adhesive application, gap filling, and vacuum bagging
- Conduct inspections and second-party verifications of engineering drawings and specifications
- Ensure adherence to fabrication methods and material handling procedures involving sealants, primers, adhesives, and solvents
Required Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, aircraft maintenance, or a related field
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately
- Experience using precision calibration tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, etc.)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces
- Experience working with adhesives, sealants, or thermal protection materials
- Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office tools
- Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legally admitted refugee
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Industry certifications, trade school training, or related degree
- Experience with cryogenic systems, fluid assembly, or aerospace/launch vehicle assembly
- Knowledge of precision assembly processes and handling large aerospace components
- Experience working on payloads, fairings, or capsules
- ATF certification for handling or installing explosives
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
- Willingness to work overtime
