WHOOP is hiring an Integrations Engineer II to join the Business Systems team. This team builds and connects the systems that power growth at WHOOP across Finance, Supply Chain, People, Sales, and Membership Services. In this role, you'll lead the design and implementation of integrations with a strong emphasis on EDI technologies to support the rapidly scaling supply chain and partner ecosystem at WHOOP. You'll help ensure the seamless exchange of structured data between WHOOP and its external vendors, logistics providers, and partners, while also enabling long-term flexibility and resilience in our enterprise architecture.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, build, and maintain EDI integrations that connect WHOOP with external trading partners, vendors, and third-party logistics providers

  • Lead efforts to implement and manage EDI standards such as ANSI X12 or EDIFACT across key transaction sets (e.g., 850, 810, 856)

  • Collaborate with internal teams across Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales to translate business needs into scalable EDI and system integration solutions

  • Manage and optimize the integration platform and EDI infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and visibility of data flows

  • Support onboarding of new trading partners by defining mapping specifications, conducting testing, and managing production cutovers

  • Develop and enforce best practices for system interoperability, data transformation, and monitoring across enterprise systems

  • Proactively identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements across systems and workflows

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ years of experience in systems integration or backend engineering roles, with a focus on EDI integrations

  • Deep expertise in EDI standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and familiarity with key transaction sets used in supply chain and finance workflows

  • Hands-on experience with EDI platforms or integration tools (e.g., Cleo, SPS Commerce, Boomi, Orderful, MuleSoft, Workato)

  • Strong proficiency in data transformation and mapping technologies, and understanding of structured data formats such as JSON, XML, and flat files

  • Familiarity with backend programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) and experience building or managing APIs

  • Familiarity with ERP, logistics, and finance systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or similar

  • Proven ability to partner with cross-functional teams and external vendors to manage integration projects end-to-end

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience in high-growth environments with complex business systems and data ecosystems

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions
